Regency Healthcare is a 100 bed skilled nursing center located in Wilmington, DE.

We are looking for an Activities Director to join our team.

The Applicant must have one of the following credentials to be considered for this wonderful opportunity:

-Certified therapeutic recreational activity specialist

-COTA or OTR certified music therapist

-Certified art therapist, certified drama therapist, certified dance/movement therapist

-Activities director certified

The purpose of this position is to develop and implement an activity program in compliance with requirements to meet residents' needs. 

Duties:

• Plan, schedule and implement a program of individual and group activities based on residents’ schedule.
• Use the resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident’s activity program needs.
• Identify and document in the resident’s care plan, the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident. Care plans are reviewed and updated as necessary but at least quarterly.
• Document all interaction with resident and/or family in the assessment, care plan and progress notes as required by federal and state requirements.
• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend all resident care conferences.
• Plan and conduct Residents’ Council meetings.
• Recruit, schedule and supervise assistants and volunteers.
• Take part in in-service education programs and attend all in-service session relating to Activity Program.
• Organize and schedule community events related to residents’ interests.
• Plan, schedule and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms.
